Product  Description

The BirdBusta
® Clip comprises two identical parts - which create parallel reverse  hooks - and are joined centrally: together they form a clasp at the bottom, which will hold and grip a paper or polystyrene cup that can be bought at any supermarket.

The cup can be used to cover and hide individual apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines, strawberries, apples and passion fruit which may be under attack by birds.

The top hooks make it easy to attach the
BirdBusta® Clip to any part of a stem adjacent to the fruit being protected, thus providing slight tension on the cup, sufficient to hold it in place, even in windy or wet conditions.

The
BirdBusta®Clip is especially suited to the domestic Gardener, who is prepared to undertake the labour and ongoing effort to attach and re-attach cups to ripening fruit throughout the growing season - so that s/he is actually able to pick and consume most of their rich harvest...... and with the current rise in local fruit prices, the savings may be more important than usual.

As different fruit ripen through the season, each clip can be used and re-used many times - and in later years - so the cost of saving each one from the birds progressively reduces.

Competitors

Current fruit protectors come in the form of nets placed over fruit, bushes and trees; wires strung through tree branches, or strawberry or tomato patches; sound alarms – noise, recordings of guns or bird alarm calls; stuffed birds or bird shapes;
metallic foil ribbons or CD’s suspended from wires to reflect light - and bags (of paper & fabric) - placed over fruit and fruit bunches, and tied - but some of these can be ineffective, or awkward to use, and make it difficult to reach and pick the fruit.
